Originally from Germany, I am fortunate to have travelled, studied and worked around the world. This allowed me to experience different cultures in-depth, to meet amazing people, and to photograph some of the beautiful characters and places I encountered.

To me, photography is about capturing precious moments in time that would otherwise be forgotten. It is a medium that creates and preserves memories, elicits emotions, and enriches lives. Photography may awaken feelings of joy, desire, awe or despair and lets us remember close-to-heart events.

I created this website to showcase my photography and related services. I specialise in portrait, engagement, wedding and event photography besides more casual landscape/travel work.

After obtaining a PhD degree in the Department of Tourism and Marketing at Griffith University on Australia’ Gold Coast, I am now based in Kyoto, Japan.
